About the Position

Accelerate Change is seeking an entrepreneurial Temporary Partner Finance Specialist (Freelance) whose main charge is providing support to our Partner Finance areas, including traditional finance needs such as invoicing and income reconciliation, as well as unconventional work like helping us implement new systems in Notion, Monday, NetSuite, and HubSpot for experimental and start-up partner efforts across non-profit and social good areas.

Here’s what you could expect to do as Temporary Partner Finance Specialist (Freelance):

  • Accounts payable/receivable tracking across ACH, Checks, and Wires

  • Detailed data entry for received income across grants, project work, and donations

  • Assist with new finance processes involving non-profit/for profit partnerships

  • Interact with network partners to provide reporting across payables and receivables

  • As needed, provide recommendations for system enhancements and areas for automations

  • Improve documentation and procedures for experimental network finance needs

  • Establish and maintain electronic fiscal files and records to document transactions

  • Weekly debrief meetings with the Director of Finance and VP of Finance and Operations

What We’re Looking For

  • Commitment to social change. Accelerate Change is a progressive workplace focused on civic engagement with BIPOC and low-income communities. You have a demonstrated commitment to this work and you’d like to be part of a team of people who do, too.

  • 3+ years experience with key responsibilities: We’re looking for someone who has at least three years of experience combining entrepreneurship, tracking finances in non-traditional or experimental processes, and in customer service or other communications experience.

  • Start-up experience highly valued: Our incubations and enterprises function like start-ups, so experience and comfort working with Executives and Program Leaders - especially in environments where you navigated and communicated through ambiguity is helpful.

Compensation

This is a 6-month, temporary freelance opportunity. The compensation range is $40 - $50 per hour, depending on experience. The number of hours per week will vary, but we estimate roughly 15-20 hours per week, with potential to increase hours as needed.
